Transcriptome analysis of the purple process of tea shoots
The transcriptome of Camellia sinensis var.kitamura was sequenced by using Illumina technology, and the functional annotations and metabolic pathways analyses of some unigenes were conducted in this present paper. In this study, 107,984 pieces of transcripts and 34,685 pieces of Unigenes were received. 2,250 differentially expressed genes were screened, among which 1,270 genes were up-regulated and 980 were down-regulated. Through bioinformatics data analysis, 27 key differentially expressed genes associated with the tea purple process were determined, among which 10 genes were involved in anthocyanin synthesis, 13 in carbohydrate metabolism, 3 in brassinosteroids, and 1 in anthocyanin transport. Therefore, these results provide the basis to understand the process of tea purple and metabolic characteristics of tea anthocyanins.
